Intercept!

Interceptive orthodontics begin around age 7 and usually last from 9 to 12 months. It is followed by a treatment interruption of several years before starting the global treatment between 9 and 14 years.

In the presence of a strong skeletal shift, the orthodontist will benefit from the pre-pubertal growth peak existing in the child.

Using orthopedic equipment to smoothly modify the shape of the jaws, the orthodontist can obtain growth gain for facial and functional improvement of the child.

By acting early and lifting the bolts of this growth, it is possible to reduce the possibility for the child of a long and difficult orthodontic treatment later (extractions of premolars, orthognathic surgery …)
